Erbauen Labs announces the launch of its new app MAU – Make America United.
It’s a free app available on both iOS and Android platforms. MAU helps users initiate a conversation with someone on the other side of the political spectrum. That may let people see the point of view of others and help reduce the divide in the country since the US presidential elections. Remember both sides together represent the real America!
To enter the app, the person has to first choose whether they are a Republican or Democrat. Once a user logs in to the app they can see two circles of users.
1> People connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the user ( at airports, hotels, cafes and other public places with Wi-Fi). They can directly send a chat message to people they see in this circle.
2> People in a 20-mile radius around the user. For interacting with people in this circle the other user has to accept your invite
The profile of every user displays whether they are Republicans or Democrats. They can initiate a chat conversation with someone (ideally someone with opposite political leanings). Meet them for a coffee, drink or meal and have a real conversation. Only when people spend time with someone from the other side will they be able to appreciate another world view.
People can also use the app to ask for help from others nearby. Real world connections are a lot more valuable than online connections and the aim of the app is to help users form some new connections anytime they are in a public place alone.
MAU - Make America United helps people break the ice and have a real conversation with others around them.
We hope eventually people realize that the institutions in a mature democracy will always ensure that the country moves forward no matter which party wins. The power is always with the people and they themselves can choose to make a more inclusive and progressive America.
So go ahead and ask that Republican / Democrat out for a beer.
